<LG 글로벌챌린저 2018 모집 요강>
 
 
탐방 대상		 대한민국 안에 있는 기업, 연구소, 대학, 정부기관, 지방자치단체, 사회 단체 등 외국인 유학생 부문의 경우 탐방 지역은 대한민국으로 한정
 
탐방 주제		 탐방분야와 관련하여 구체적이고 체계적인 탐방 · 연구 활동을 통해 미래의 비전을 제시할 수 있는 테마 무단 도용, 표절 등 저작권 위반 행위에 대해서는 본인이 책임을 지며, 선발 및 수상 취소 할 수 있음
 
탐방 기간		  
7월 15일 ~ 8월 31일 중 10박 11일, 자율적으로 결정
 
지원 자격		 대한민국 소재 전국 4년제 대학교 및 대학원에 재학중이며, 유학생 D-2 Visa 또는 F-4 Visa를 가진 외국인 유학 생
※ 휴학생, 어학당 학생, 이중국적자 지원 불가
팀 구성 전공 및 국가제한 없이 동일학교 재학생 4명으로 구성

시 상		 ? 글로벌상 : 1팀 (부상 300만원, 팀 전원 LG전자 제품 수여)
 
※ 글로벌상 수상팀에 한하여 대한민국 안에 있는 LG계열사 인턴자격 부여 예정
 
 
기타 사항		 ? 탐방계획서 및 탐방활동 보고물에 대한 일체의 저작권 및 소유권은 LG에 귀속됨.  
※ 최종선발 후, 타 프로그램 등에 사용시 선발 및 수상취소하며 지원사항(교통비, 탐방활동비 등)을 철회함

<LG Global Challenger 2018 Application Guidelines for International Students>
 
 
 
Subjects of Expedition		 Companies, Laboratories, Universities, Government Agencies, Local Self-Governing Bodies and Social Organizations in Korea
Expedition areas for international students are restricted to Korea
 
 
Themes of Expedition		 Themes should provide a vision through specific and systematic expedition and exploration activities in the related field.
 
Applicants are responsible for any infringement of copyrights including unauthorized use and plagiarism and may be subject to the cancellation of their selection and award.
Period of Expedition  
Applicants may freely choose 11 consecutive days from Wednesday, July 15th to Monday, August 31st.
 
 
Application Eligibility		 Registered international students at 4 year-universities or graduate schools in Korea International students with a D-2 or F-4 Visa
 
* Students on a leave of absence, Language Institute students are NOT eligible to apply.
And students having dual citizenship (Korean) are NOT eligible to apply.
Team Organization  
A team must consist of four students from the same school regardless of their majors or nationalities.

  - Download and fill out the attached form and scans documents. Submit it in PDF or JPG format.
 
 
  • Certificate of registration
- Certificates which have been issued ONLY between April 1 and April 18, 2018 are valid.
 
 
[Reference] Applicants who have passed the first document evaluation must submit the following:
10 copies of each team member’s picture and a budget statement (further information: TBA)

  • Please make sure to submit your application before 20th of April. After submitting, you can check up and edit your application 4 days more (till 24th of April) by E-mail (challenger@hsad.co.kr). However, we do not accept applications after 20th of April. Please keep deadline.
  • Due to the high probability of online applications flooding in on the final day, you are cordially asked to submit your application as early as possible.

Application guidelines
  1. All four members of the team sign up for the LG Challengers membership
  2. Click on the [Apply] button to fill out the five stages of the application form
  3. Compress the expedition plan, all four members’ certificates of registration and the certificate from the Office of International Affairs into one folder and then upload it to the site.
 
 
  • Maximum size of the compressed file: 10MB
  • PDF conversion program and file compression program can be downloaded at the fifth stage of the application form.
  • The [Apply] page for the 2018 LG Global Challenger will be opened at the beginning of April.
Number of Selectees  
Five teams, a total of twenty applicants (four members on each team)
Selection Method
  • 1st Document evaluation on the expedition plans
  • 2nd Interview : Friday, June 1st, 2018
 
 
Selection Criteria
  • Originality of the expedition theme
  • Preciseness of the expedition purpose
  • Reasonableness of the choice on the expedition site and schedule
  • Expected effectiveness of the expedition
 
 
 
 
  • Initiative and sincerity of the team members
  • Language proficiency
 
 
Announcement on the Qualified Applicants
  • Qualified applicants of the document evaluation : The second week in May, 2018
  • Final qualified applicants : The third week in June, 2018
  • The names of the qualified applicants will be posted on the homepage of LG Global Challenger
(Final qualified applicants will be contacted individually)

Financial Support  
Full amount of transportation expenses, accommodation cost and activity cost
 
 
 
 
Obligations
  • Submission of the expedition report within one month after the completion of the expedition.
  • Hand out all documents that including various materials, publications and pictures which the executive office may request
  • Observance and active participation in all the scheduled programs
  • Observance of the code of conduct (which will be additionally announced to the qualified applicants)
 
 
 
 
Prize
  • Global Prize : One team (Additional prize: 3 million won & LG Electronics Product to all team members)
 
 
* Members of the recipient team of the Global Prize will be given an internship opportunity at one of the LG affiliates in Korea.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Remarks
  • All the copyrights and ownership of expedition plans and expedition activity reports belong to LG.
  • All of last year's reference materials are listed on LG Global Challenger website (http://www.lgchallengers.com)
 
 
* In the event that such materials are used in other programs after the final selection of the winner, the decision and the prize will be canceled as well as all the financial support (transportation, activity cost, etc.)
