2015 Summer Global Leadership Camp Application Guideline
The Global Center is organizing the 2015 Summer Global Leadership Camp for Kyung Hee international students. The program is designed to help future global leaders to acquire advanced communication skills and a global perspective by taking part in a series of special lectures and participating in a hands-on marketing project with students from all over the world. With scholarship support from Kyung Hee University, participants will visit HELP University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for four weeks during the 2015 summer term. Student who successfully complete the program will receive 3 elective credits from Kyung Hee University. In order to apply, please refer to the guidelines below.

Financial
Support
$ 2,200 USD (KHU will transfer it to HELP University directly)
- Administration fees, tuition, accomodations, 3 field trips, airport pickup and departure
Participation
Fees
1,000,000 KRW (Participant should pay it to Kyung Hee University)
- Round trip airfare, insurance, and visa application fee
* The schedule is subject to change accordingly with plane ticket price
※ Students are fully reposible for planning the cost of food, entertainment, and other living expenses while they are participating the program
2. Eligibility
a. Applicants should be currently enrolled as an international undergraduate student at KHU’s Seoul campus
b. All grades and years are invited to apply, except first semester freshman and graduating seniors.
c. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher the previous term
d. Applicants must have taken 12 or more credits in the previous term
e. Applicants must have passed English interview
※ Since university regulations state that a student can acquire a maximum of 6 credits from study abroad programs during their undergraduate period at Kyung Hee University, student who have collected more than 4 credits from any other study abroad programs should not submit the application to this program
※ There will be an English interview sessions for the applicants after the application deadline
3. Selection: The selection process will proceed according to applicant GPA, with higher GPAs receiving priority.
4. Application Process
a. Application period: 2015. 4. 13 (Mon) ~ 5. 11 (Mon) 4:00pm
b. How to apply: Visit the Global Center to submit the necessary documents (Cheongwoongwan B113)
c. List of necessary documents (Submitted documents cannot be returned under any circumstances)
1) Application Form (with passport size photo and signature)
2) Enrollment Certificate in English
3) Transcript in English
4) Copy of Passport (the passport must have at least 6 months validity remaining at the moment of departure)
5) Copy of Alien Registration Card (front & back, and with at least 3 months remaining at the moment of departure)
★ 6) Deposit transfer receipt
※ Applicants are no longer required to submit English test score
※ Applicant must pay a deposit of KRW 450,000 and bring the receipt showing payment when they submit the application (refunded in the event that the student is not selected as a program participant)

5. Result Announcement : 2015. 5. 20 (Wed)
a. Students who are selected for the program must submit the participation fee (minus the amount of the deposit) within 10 days.
b. Students who are not selected for the program will receive a deposit refund within 2~3 weeks.
6. Notes (★ Please review throughly)
a. Application Eligability
1) This program is for the international undergraduate students who are currently enrolled at the Seoul campus ONLY. Students at the Global and Gwangneung campuses are NOT eligible.
2) Students who are undergoing graduation assessment and preparing to graduate (seniors in their final term) are NOT eligible for the program.
3) Since university regulations state that a student can acquire a maximum of 6 credits from study abroad programs during their undergraduate period at Kyung Hee University, student who have collected more than 4 credits from any other study abroad programs should not submit the application to this program
4) The university’s policies for summer 2015 does NOT allow students to apply to multiple programs. Students who are found to have applied to more than one program will have all their applications denied.
b. Deposit
1) The deposit will NOT be refunded if the applicant decides to withdraw after results are announced
2) Students who withdraw after the results announcement will forfeit their deposit fee to cover cancellation fees for flights and program.
c. Travel Information
1) The Global Center will purchase flight tickets for all participants.
2) The participants must travel together as a group - NO EXCEPTIONS.
d. Malasian Travel Visa
1) The Global Center will handle the visa application process for participants.

e. English Interview
1) There will be an English interview sessions for the applicants after the application deadline
* The exact date for the interview will be announced to the applicants exclusively.
2) Applicants are no longer required to submit English test score
f. Other
1) There will be an orientation session for selected participants
2) If the participation fee exceeds the actual costs of the program, the remainder will be returned to the students
3) If there is an insufficient number of applicants, the program may be cancelled
