글로벌센터 글로벌존입니다.
경희대학교 모든 학생들을 위한 곳으로 다양한 국적의 학생들이 서로의 문화를 공유할 수 있는 공간입니다. 5대의 위성 텔레비전(CNN, BBC, ARIRANG, CCTV, NHK)와 DVD자료, 책을 통해 세계 각의 문화를 간접 체험할 수 있습니다. PC로 원하는 문화자료를 검색할 수 있습니다.
현재 1:1 English Consultation, English Through Dramas, English Skills Workshop, Korean Culture Workshop, International Movie Monday, Culture Encounter Session 등 다양한 프로그램이 진행 중이며 다양한 문화 교류를 위한 프로그램이 진행됩니다.
글로벌존은 학생 여러분들이 외국에 나가지 않고도 캠퍼스 내에서 다양한 문화를 접할 수 있도록 돕는 공간입니다. 무료로 참여하실 수 있는 다양한 프로그램들이 준비되어 있으니 많은 관심과 참여 부탁드립니다.
1) 1:1 English Consultation
미국인 교수님과 함께 30분 동안 자유 주제로 이야기하실 수 있습니다. 주제는 학생의 필요에 따라 유동적입니다.
(신청시 원하는 날짜를 모두 적어 주세요. 1:1 English Consultation 참여는 공지된 날짜 중 1회만 가능합니다.)
(Open Office Hour: Monday to Friday, 15:00-17:00, if you have any problems in your life in Korea, come and talk with American professor without reservations. It is only for international students.)
- 매주 월/수/금 10:30-11:00 - 모든 학생 (선착순 1명)
This special one on one 30-minute counselling session is a flexible time for students to come and ask questions and have discussions in English. Whether you have a question about English grammar or vocabulary, are thinking of studying abroad, getting ready for an interview, working on homework, or just want to practice your English conversation skills, come visit us in the Global Zone. 1:1 sessions are available for reservation Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 10:30. 11:00 sessions are reserved for international and exchange students only.

This special one on one 30-minute counselling session is a flexible time for international and exchange students to come and ask questions and have discussions in English. Whether you have a question about English grammar or vocabulary, need homework help, want to practice your English conversation skills, or need some help adjusting to life in Korea; please come visit us in the Global Zone. 1:1 sessions are available exclusively for international and exchange student reservation Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 11:00. International and exchange students may also participate in the 10:30 sessions.

Participants in KHU’s English track programs can make an appointment to visit the Global Zone for counselling and support services daily at 1:30pm. If you need help, assistance, or just a friendly ear, please make an appointment and come visit us.
2) English Through Dramas
30분 분량의 외화 드라마 한 편을 시청한 후 외국 문화와 드라마 속 주요 표현에 대해 공부하고 자유롭게 영어로 대화할 수 있는 수준별 맞춤 프로그램입니다. (한글 자막이 제공됩니다.)

Follow the wacky adventures of four young scientists: Sheldon, Raj, Leonard, and Howard. While their science may be great, their social skills need some work as they go about their lives at the university where they work and study. Each session, we will watch one episode of Big Bang Theory, followed by a Q&A and open discussion period so students can practice their English in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. This popular and fun drama follows the adventures of Jess, a charming but strange young woman, and her three male roommates in contemporary LA. 영어 수업을 듣는 학생들의 학습 역량 강화에 도움이 될 수 있도록 구성되어 있습니다. 한 가지 주제를 가지고 미국인 교수님의 수업을 듣고 학생들과 같이 이야기하는 시간입니다.

한국학을 전공하신 미국인 교수님의 강의로 다양한 주제를 통해 학생들이 한국의 문화를 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 돕는 프로그램입니다.
- 04일(화) 15:00-17:00 주제: Religion
Learn about Korea’s main religions and how they developed in this special lecture. From indigenous shamanism to the development of Korean Buddhism, the influence of Confucianism, and the introduction of Catholicism and Protestant Christianity, as well as some of Korea’s newest religious movements, learn about the spiritual life of Korea. The lecture will be in English, but some Korean translation and assistance will be available. The event will begin at 3pm in the Global Zone and last approximately 1 hour.

Are you eager to find your way around and explore Korea? Join us for a special lecture that will cover both the basics of transportation and travel by taking advantage of planes, trains, and automobiles, as well as highlighting some of Korea’s most famous and interesting spots to visit. From the secrets of taxi cabs to how to find the best hiking or the best places to relax, this English-language lecture will cover how to get the most adventure out of your time in Korea. The lecture will be in English, but some Korean translation and assistance will be available. The event will begin at 3pm in the Global Zone and last approximately 1 hour.
5) International Movie Monday
매월 마지막 주 월요일 영화 한 편을 시청하는 프로그램입니다. (한글 자막 혹은 영어 자막이 제공됩니다.) 글로벌존으로 오셔서 자유롭게 참여하시면 됩니다.
- 24일(월) 15:00-17:00 영화: Seopyeanjae
This month, join us at the Global Zone for a showing of the classic Korean film, Seopyeonjae. Made by master director Im Kwon Taek, this film follows the lives of a family of pansori (traditional songs performed by a vocalist and drummer) singers traveling throughout Korea in the postwar period. It is considered one of Korea’s best and most beloved films, with deep insight into the Korean psyche, as well as a huge commercial and critical success. Released in 1993, it won numerous awards and was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. This film is an excellent way to experience Korean traditional music and culture. In Korean, with English subtitles. The showing will begin at 3pm in the Global Zone.
6) Culture Encounter Session
본 세션은 국제 문화 교류의 장으로 글로벌존에서 한 달에 한 번씩 각국의 유학생들이 자신의 나라를 대표하는 “Culture Ambassador”로서 자국의 문화를 소개하며 소통하는 시간입니다.
